Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas

Wow!  The Miss America Pageant was absolutely AMAZING!!  I cannot believe that I was able to watch Miss Wisconsin crowned as the 91st Miss America.  All of the state queens were so smart, soooo beautiful, and sooo talented!  I was really honored to be there and be a part of it.  I even got to stand on the stage in my crown and banner!  We started the day with my a brunch with my sister National Queens.  It was awesome getting to know them.  We are going to have such a great year!  I am so excited!

We toured Las Vegas and went up the Eifel Tower! It looks just like the one in France!  I was able to pet a lion cub!  Her name was Coco and she was sooo soft!  I loved New York, New York and the Paris Hotel the best.  We walked for miles and my legs really hurt!

One of the highlights of the weekend was seeing Ciara, Miss Oregon Jr. Pre-Teen.  We became friends right away at nationals and the more time we spent together in Las Vegas, the more fun we had!  I am so thankful to have met her and become such good friends!

Upcoming events

Please mark your calendars for Sunday, February 12, 2012.  I will be at the Barnes and Noble in Vernon Hills (Hawthorn Mall) in the early afternoon with some of our local authors.  Proceeds from all sales will benefit Book Worm Angels.  Hopefully we will also get to see some of our local "celebrities", too!!!  More details to come, so check back here often, BUT SAVE THE DATE!!!!

Looking forward to going to, oh, I don't know, LAS VEGAS in 2 weeks!  I will be at the Miss America Pageant with my mom and dad, as well as some other NAM royalty.  I hope I have the chance to meet some of the older girls competing!  How fun would that be?

I also get to fly to Houston, Texas, in February to do a national photo shoot for NAM.  So excited!  Although I have been to Texas before, I have never been to Houston.  They might do things BIG in Texas, but they don't know what they are in for when I get there!!!  I promise to post lots of pictures.
